Academic Program Portfolio Review is a four-week working course that helps institutional leaders evaluate programs through five interconnected areas: market demand, mission fit, cost, student outcomes, and strategic relevance.
Through six asynchronous modules, live advising, case studies, templates, and scoring tools, participants will create an evaluation framework suited to their institution. The course culminates in a portfolio action plan identifying opportunities for investment, improvement, redesign, consolidation, or further review to support decisions that balance financial realities with academic quality, institutional identity, and future opportunity.
Course Format: The course includes six 30-minute video lesson modules (asynchronous), a live introduction, two open live advising sessions, worksheets, templates, case studies, scoring tools, and support in the creation of a final portfolio action plan.
Course Dates:
This course will launch on October 1 with the expectation of completion of all modules within 4 weeks.
Introduction session will take place October 1, 2026 1:00pm CT (also recorded).
Live advising sessions will take place:
October 15, 2026 1:00pm CT and October 29, 2026. (Additional individual advising at the time of your choice may also be arranged.)
One 30 minute individual review session at the time of your choice before November 15th.
